When Imagination submitted a proposal to United Way of Southeastern Michigan for their 100th Anniversary Gala, I proposed the theme of “Weaving Communities Together,” which they chose. United Way is a unique organization in that they bring together and support many local charities. They support community members in many different ways, which I saw as threads coming together and strengthening each other. This was a design for a coffee table book to be given away at the gala. I created a custom script design of the "Live United" tagline, that would be machine embroidered on fabric and hand bound into books depicting stories of the many community members that United Way of Southeastern Michigan has helped in the past 100 years.
